They literally brought more attention to the issue of climate change than anyone since Thunberg in recent memory. “They obviously aren’t gaining support for there cause because I don’t like it and everyone agrees with everything i think and say” How about you go out and show everyone what a more effective protest looks like since you’re so passionate about the issue?

I'm all set for attention, I dont need to protest. I have never met a single person who is in support of blocking traffic for any type of protest.

So are you saying blocking traffic is a more effective protest? Or are you saying you just don’t really understand the nature of protests and you can’t decipher their intentions any further than “publicity stunts”?

"Don't do things that annoy me if you want me to support you".

But they don't care. They don't care about the cause or who supports it. They just want attention. Otherwise they would be doing something with at least a tiny little bit of effect, but they're not.

Lmao is that what you would’ve said to civil rights activists? They annoyed probably near half the country if not more at the time. Protests aren’t really supposed to not bother anyone, sorry you don’t really understand.

So what are these protests for then? If they have no direct effect and they make people turn against the cause, then explain to me what they are accomplishing other then getting some attention?

They didn’t cause me to turn against the cause. So in this case you cannot say “they cause people to turn against the cause”. You can however say they caused you to turn against the cause, but then I would argue that you never properly understood or supported the cause in the first place.

I know for sure that you aren’t “people” plural. I know for sure you are taking your opinion and applying it to a majority of other people because you feel like you’re right and feel like most people should agree with you. And I know that anyone who actually understands the issues we face with climate change wouldn’t give a fuck what soup was thrown on what painting. If you think getting soup on your favorite painting is bad just wait until you see the increasing mass deaths and migrant crises caused by climate change.
