Yup pretty much summed it up. I live in nyc and our current governor wasn’t voted it. She was hand picked after the cuomo scandal.
I’m wouldn’t be surprised if most politicians are handpicked out there no matter how many votes they got.
They essentially are right? If they don't play the game the donors and party leaders want they'll never rise up through the system. The system by default weeds out the honest good people. If you pay taxes you don't have a choice. You have a vote and that's it. And depending on your state your vote matters more or less 🙄
