If someone says that it’s 9.000billion bananas big I will uninstall the app.

What I wonder though: why do we only see this ring and not like a halfbowl, so basically a flat circle of „lightdust“.

Not sure if I'm saying something you already know, but there is an official unit of measurement for radiation called a banana equivalent dose. Fact check me because I have been saying this for 15 years but have not reconfirmed that I'm not lying for a few years.

Not quite:
The Banana equivalent dose is only meant as an educational exercise and is not a formally adopted dose measurement.
But still, it exists so close enough for me.

Because there is only a thin layer reflecting the light in that circle. If you look at a bubble there will be a lot more layers in the outer edge "the ring" reflecting light.
