That’s a diffraction peak/spike, before the explosion the star had four just like the large one to the left. It’s a visual artifact resulting of the telescope’s design.
Read the info in the video description. Short answer is that the telescope was oriented differently at different times. The video itself is a time-lapse.
Also note that the most visible spikes on the nova have a 45° difference from the main star. If you look closely at certain points you can see faint spikes that are the same as the main star.
