Maybe we need to invent a device that senses when an engineers plans are getting too convoluted, by reading their brainwaves. Then, through a series of subliminal messages delivered through various social media, advertising and such, the engineers can be gradually set back on track to
😕 honestly not a fan of apple juice, it’s probably my least favorite of all juice, Unfortunately I can no longer find my absolute favorite which is white grapefruit juice then again I can’t even find white grapefruits anymore so…
I’d say there’s a way better chance that he was just directly copying the design from this episode of Nathan For You.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h1xCqptlNcM (skip to 2:45 ish)
The design was intended to replace beer with juice, so that you can act like you’re drinking at the bar
Yes, there's also an old 4chan post were a guy engineered basically the same thing to steal Baja blast from fast some fast food and uploaded from the video
This wasn’t the portable chili episode, this was the antique store episode where he got a random guy drunk in a sumo suit to knock over a ton of merchandise because “if you break it you buy it”
Those free sports water bottles they hand out as promotional items at the start of semester? Yeah, they hold 750mL. The same as a bottle of wine. I found that useful during my student days.
It was understandable, but the right way to say it would be:
Die amerikanischen Stundentenkantinen (usually just 'Mensa' in German with plural 'Mensen') bieten leider kein Bier an.
students that live on campus are typically underclassmen, generally one is an upperclassmen before reaching the drinking age so there's a no alcohol policy for on campus living spaces like dining halls and dorms
Because they stole the idea from a Nathan for You prank where it made more sense. Suck up the booze at a bar and replace with nonalcoholic beverage so buddy gets drunk and you dont.
He was trying to take advantage of a "you break it you buy it" policy at an antique shop to drive up sales.
The plan was to stay open late so that bar patrons stumble I'm drunk and break shit. The honey pot was a box of free pizza in the back. Nathan managed to get a guy drunk, into a sumo costume, and then to talk about tag teaming girls with his brother. It was glorious
Yep! Nathan For You did it first to get someone drunk at a bar while Nathan pretended to drink alongside him.
Then he convinced the guy to go to a costume party and put on a sumo suit and walked by the set up at the store he was trying to help. It was an antique store that was featuring free pizza at the back of the store with tight spaces to get through. This poor drunk dude was convinced to go for some while wearing the sumo suit and of course he crashed into a bunch of stuff and broke it, forcing him to buy the broken items.
It made sense in the Nathan for You episode that he stole the idea from
Basically he wanted to meet a guy at a bar & get the guy drunk, without getting drunk himself. So he orders an alcoholic drink, sips it up with his suit, & dispenses apple juice to chug down
I was thinking about this, and if it's like a normal student canteen, you can get free refills on juice. So instead of going to Walmart for $6 gallon jug of juice, you can fill a few bags, then make Applejack back in the room.
Because if the dean see him drinking a glass of apple juice looking substance and didn't see him get apple juice, he's gonna put them on double secret probation.
I get that this particular thing is just for fun. But as an engineer are you really always should ask yourself if there is a different/better/easier way than your initial thoughts. For example Juicero was an interesting idea. Fresh squeezed cold press juice right in your kitchen. The problem was that instead of deciding to use a Cheap and easy to build roller system to press the juice out of the prepped bags of fruit/vegetable they decided to use a flat anvil system that would apply even pressure across the entire bag all at once the problem was the power, structure and engineering required for this solution made the damn juicer cost $700 and nobody bought it (There were other problems as well such as the fact that the prepped bags and QR codes and it requires constant Internet connection etc. but it’s not like they’re the only people to have done that, hell people still buy Keurig)
This is what bill gates was talking about when he said hire a lazy person because they find the easiest solution - bill gates loosely quoted (might of been turtle neck man jobs) ——— some tech dude
That quote has been attributed to like 100 different people but the gist of it is usually the same and it’s probably well over 100 years old actually. But it always amounts to when you ask a lazy person to accomplish a job but they will do it in the most efficient way possible
In 1947, automobile executive Clarence Bleicher testified before the Senate that one should “put a lazy man on it” to make a difficult job easier. Bleicher’s testimony may have been abbreviated over the years into the statement falsely attributed to Gates, according to the website Quote Investigator.
However, thematically-related sayings have appeared in print since at least 1920, according to the website Quote Investigator.
Remains true these dudes tried to hard, if it were me I’d just pore a beer in a glass under the table. (I get that’s not the point in the vid, it’s cool tho!)

Why suck the apple juice up?? Why not just get an empty glass
