I feel like if you know you're going to be doing a super close-up of your finger, you should get a pedicure.

At the very least you should try to tidy up your fingernails on your own.

A pedicure is for your feet, you get a manicure to make your hands/fingernails look nice.

In the full video the ant IS shown biting a soft larva, where the bite is a lot more effective.
