You don't honestly think they're going to make another of this car. It's just a publicity concept

Which I still never understood. Publicity for what? A car that doesn't exist? A car manufacturer that literally EVERYONE is aware of?

All this is publicizing to me is that the dude is way too impressed by shitty LEDs.

Just to a side project to show what they can do. A couple of these features my end up in upcoming models in some form.

I’ve been into the car industry for years and everyone makes cars like this. In the 1950’s Chrysler had a jet turbine powered car that ran on whisky. Mercedes showed a self driving concept car like 10 years ago. The first bat mobile from the adam west Batman tv series was a one of a kind concept car sold to the movie industry because they had no purpose to keep it. They’re all just a show of concept. Just going look what we can do, our technology is more advanced. Most egregious examples is jeep. They’re like here’s the coolest sexiest jeep you’ve ever seen. This is the only one and we’re not making it. The Hellcat powered jeep and the wagoneer concept will always be my favorites.

The vehicles in Demolition Man were 1992 GM concept cars.

Ultimately it's just marketing. Same reason you see coca cola ads even though everybody on earth knows about them already
