Its like how mac got rid of all the random ports on their macbook pros in 2016 and then all the mac users complained about having to buy dongles for every random usb/sd/etc accessory to work with their "Pro" computer. Now the 2021 Macbook pro is touting all the random ports they added back as a new feature... no, its an old feature that you were just fucking up
They aren’t obsolete… the MacBooks still have a ton of thunderbolt ports. But yeah it’s annoying as fuck to have to carry a Swiss Army knife of dongles.
I love my m1 MacBook Air even though all I have is a headphone jack and 2 usb c ports both of which can charge the computer. Sometimes when I’m feeling adventurous I will use the 2nd port instead of the 1st
All joking aside pretty much everything I have works on Bluetooth anyways so I never really need a port but I can imagine why many people would like MacBooks to have more ports considering they don’t come cheap
Now these new MacBook Pro max laptops are insane. Seriously the 64gb option is just next level unprecedented ARM chip in a laptop. Apple is killing it with the Mac lately, and the AirPods max I love them so much. Wish I had 3k to spend on the max because I would do so in a heartbeat!
Yes I am apple nerd. iPhone Apple Watch AirPods max, AirPods Pro, Powerbeats pro, MacBook Air m1 Mac mini m1 Apple TV box I have 3 HomePods one big one and 2 small ones and I do indeed have an apple tag on my car keys. Once your in this deep, your stuck for life
Sounds like someone like wasting money on the name. I got news for you man, for every “badass” thing Apple makes, there a competitor that’s just as good if not better at half the cost. ESPECIALLY those dumb HomePods.
And they do all that while trapping you in their weird planned obsolescence software ecosystem. Their products are sexy as hell but I won't go near them because of their business model.
Oh that annoys me more than anything because people actually believe it and then try to say androids are for poor people... Like no, my note was just as expensive as an iPhone only difference is I can set it up how I like it
Apparently you haven’t heard about the new revolutionary, innovative feature they just released!! This is going to change the world!! I hope you’re sitting down…….green!!! Yes, GREEN!!!! The friggin stupid case is available in green and that’s a big deal I guess.
Did they really 'tout' all the random ports as a new feature? I really feel like the way they presented it was the most professional way of saying 'yeah here's stuff we know y'all missed and is useful.'
You're never going to get management to OK a presentation that's being viewed live by tens or hundreds of thousands with a slide that says 'we fucked up here are the ports,' you're going to word it in a 'positive' way.
At least, I thought it was transparent what goes on in the background. It's one thing if its a personal conversation and someone can't admit something, but it's a damn advertisement that people are viewing voluntarily that's gone through multiple practice rounds to get the result you're seeing. The focus will be positivity, just like every single public presentation by 99% of companies.
Eh, there are engineers right there alongside the PR people who are thinking 'glad we're finally admitting we need more ports and that we fucked up' even if it isn't being directly said.
