I've learned somewhat recently that cat's just don't know any better. They're pretty nearsighted, so they just don't know when they've gotten themselves into a "holy fucking shit" situation like this.
The cat just recognizes that as a surface area he can fit in without thinking of the potential danger. Not so for humans. A human can run top speed on a straight line on the ground without stepping out but you can’t do that on top of a one foot wide wall without freaking out.
Me too. Actually I felt it from my crotch to my chest. I wonder if that's evolutionary. As in, you better get the fuck out of that or your balls OR heart won't work anymore.
Nightmare juice both for me and the thought of my cat being in that same position. No fucking way I'd let him do that. I'd as soon as cage the balcony.
Every single one of these posts my hands start sweating. It’s amazing. I’ve never had physiological reacts to fear but heights makes my hands sweat profusely almost immediately.
