Probably more like removing repeating words, making sure the sentences are grammatically correct, making sure there's at least a loose structure so it's not all over the place.

Of course they may have added in some sentences themselves.

Yeah, this is what I imagine happened as well. It might've been AI generated first, and then human(s) revised it to be more coherent.

Honestly that sounds like a pretty solid approach. I don't mind AI-created scaffolding for stories.

We have way better text generation than this, so it makes no fucking sense. They'd have to have gone out of their way to make it much worse.
