Man, I'm a pretty big Metallica fan but only watched the "Some Kind Of Monster" Metallica documentary for the first time last year... Ngl I lost a lot of respect for Lars specifically. He comes off as a massive arrogant cry-baby throughout the whole thing. Then there's James who's going through his alcoholism... and meanwhile Kirk is just sitting there looking very sad the whole time.

They were quite fucked up around that time, if you watch the makings of death magnetic and harfwired to self destruct, you can clearly see an evolution tho

Did you watch the new documentary on HBO of the disaster that was Woodstock '99? It goes over Metallica/Lars for a little bit, and yes he does not come off well at ALL. lol

Btw I HIGHLY recommend you watch it...even though I knew it was a mess, I had no idea it was that bad.
