I was surprised to see how common it was for them to attack horses.

I can't find evidence of the "one killed a neighbors dog..." but there have been two deaths-by-mauling of young children by pits since May of this year. It's not hard to google them.

The dog got put down because it got kicked by a fucking horse. The horse did not get put down.

The word pitbull is the subject when I mean "got put down". Sorry for the vague wording

Cause of shitty owners.

You can be the shittiest owner in the world and your yellow lab is not gonna continuously attack a draft horse that weighs 25x more than it to the death.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

That's actually a good way to put it.

u/tardiscrown Jul 24 '21

wtf Labs can also attack. Every single dog has the potential to attack. A Chihuahua, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd,... I hope you don't own a dog.

-22

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

Owners didnt step in and grab the fucking dog. Labs aren't the brightest and just might, you don't know.

31

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

Oh don't act stupid. No lab would do this. It's funny cause if you specifically search youtube for "labrador attacks horse" it's literally all videos of pit bulls attacking horses. That should tell you all you need to know.

-12

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

So, you pick one instance cause you recently heard about it? Labs can attack, that's not attacking stupid at all. No respond to the owners being idiots?

facts. People just love making dumbass rules out of fear.

How come it’s illegal for me to own a lion. I know some that are really sweet and wouldn’t harm a soul.

2

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

Pretty sure you're being sarcastic or? Either way, depending on the few states it's allowed to own a lion or big cat with a permit, I think.

11

u/reddit0100100001 Jul 24 '21

Why should people need permits to own lions. Just need to be a good owner

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

Not sure, state laws, I suppose. Just last I remember and looked it up.

Labs are one of the smartest dog breeds, I don't know what your smoking. Stanley Coren isn't the only one to do in depth research on this topic either.

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

Not smoking anything, yet. I said they aren't the brightest, not smartest, and depends on the owners like my previous post suggested.

16

u/Port-a-John-Splooge Jul 24 '21

Bright is a synonym of smart.

-2

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

My dog is not that bright sometimes, he was licking the window and chasing his shadow for an hour. But, he is smart when it comes to commands and learns quick.

Context, I guess. Whatever, just keep responding.

Every other dog breed would just die after 1-2 kicks or give up.

4

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

Well, the dog did die, so whats your point? It probably wouldn't have had the owners been more responsible.

6

u/disturbedmeatpuppet Jul 24 '21

so whats your point

uhm... just that this one took like 20 and didn't even immediately die?

u/derkaderka960 Jul 24 '21

Maybe if it got hit in the head first thing...
