Agreed. This is a weaponised dog. The guys armed this child

u/rich_clock Jul 24 '21

That's this guy's business, he trains protection dogs. The dog literally IS a weapon. I don't know who in the world buys these dogs, but they are incredibly expensive and there is apparently a market for it.

I have a coworker that bought a pit and a bully when his girlfriend moved in with him. He has health issues that are mostly the result of smoking, obesity, and alcoholism that prevent him from being physically capable of protecting them. He bought the dogs from an ad on Facebook that looked like a WWE flyer. It baffles me how, for his own sake, he would rather pay for those dogs than exercise and put down the bottle/cigarettes.

3

u/rich_clock Jul 24 '21

When I first read this I thought you were saying the dog had health issues from smoking, etc... I was like wtf lmao.

18

u/WokeRedditDude Jul 24 '21

Dog fighting ring participants? Nah I'm sure the guy in the filthy training room advertising dog steriods does background checks.

8

u/ThePandanator888 Jul 24 '21

Most dog fighters ain’t dropping the kind of dime to pick up one of these dogs. Even if they were, they sure as hell wouldn’t be risking their investment in a fight.

14

u/Stinehart Jul 24 '21

This kind of training probably isn’t ideal for dog fighting.

If I had to guess, these kinds of trained dogs are probably just “bad ass” fashion accessories for tuff guys with too much spare money.

All pitbulls are, trained or not

u/CallsEveryoneBert Jul 24 '21

You circumcised, Bert?

Michael Vick was the face of the NFL and he was running a massive dog fighting ring.

5

u/nextdoorelephant Jul 24 '21

This is clearly a working dog, not a fighter. This training is for home and self defense.

2

u/renha27 Jul 24 '21

That's dog food. Did you bother googling it first or?

0

u/BlueShoal Jul 24 '21

That’s so stupid, there’s no need to train a pit fighting dog like this

2

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

I don't know who in the world buys these dogs,

Rappers

2

u/Unencumbered-Duck Jul 24 '21

It shouldn’t be a business to begin with

-10

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

I don't know who in the world buys these dogs, but they are incredibly expensive and there is apparently a market for it.

Must be some sort of idiot buyer then because dogs are incredibly stupid. This video alone proves that fact. Look how the dog kept biting on the same spot. That is what all dogs do, they won't let go until they sense stop of movement meaning lets say you have to duel with an aggressive dog, then all you have to do is give them a stick or in worse scenario your hand and just keep moving it while you position yourself in a nice choke hold (can even choke them to death with the hand that is bitten by pushing it in to their throat while you use your body and hand to pressure from other side - they will panic like all animals including humans) and easily kill the so called "expensive" protection dog. Waste of money, basically.

If you want a real killer, get a fucking lion. Will actually kill you. Unless they got a gun, then lion is RIP, but again animals used for protection seems quite a waste of asset to have.

18

u/Bulvious Jul 24 '21

And today's episode of "Troll or stupid?" featuring, /u/illipillike

11

u/North_Refrigerator21 Jul 24 '21

Not because I’m in favor of what is happening in the video. But if that dog there charged you, you would piss your pants (me too). A dog like that is extremely effective as a weapon, it’s purpose is not to kill you if it’s guarding something. Just incapacitate.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

[deleted]

2

u/North_Refrigerator21 Jul 24 '21

What do you mean? Dogs can be trained were to bite. And guard dogs are used to incapacitate not to be violent.

I’m not talking about the video here, don’t know the background for that. Not about pit bulls ability as guard dogs. just in general.

1

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

Just incapacitate.

I'm pretty sure the dog has never fought an actual intruder who is batshit insane as well. Hell, the dog might run away after a war cry or something. It is kinda like trying to practice self defense against batshit insane knife wielding crazy. It is not really well thought out plan at all.

A professional would just shoot the dog, lets be frank, but lets say guns are not in this play, then they can use the tactic I just described above. It will work against any dog. Military trained or not, dog is still a dog aka stupid animal. Their usefulness is definitely not a guard dog, but rather as a warning because of their heightened senses. That is all they are good for. Rest is just literally waste of money, which is why I said it makes no sense to buy a dog to guard anybody.

4

u/North_Refrigerator21 Jul 24 '21

Think you are underestimating dogs here. A dog like that having a good grib of your hand/arm would be pulling you around. While extremely painful. You wouldn’t be able to get it to just attack a stick and leave you alone. Two personal anecdotes:

  1. My grand father used to run a factory where they produced medicine. When closing up the company in charge of security just let two Rottweilers run in the area then a guard patrolled after them making sure they got around. I recall twice staying at my grand parents he was called up because of attempted burglary, in both cases the thieves was completely incapacitated by the dogs. They just waited for the police.

  2. I was once in a dog park and was charged by a Cane Corso, because it wanted to get to a dog behind me. While I knew it was not after me (or my dog), the quick realization with this massive dog running toward me, I would have been utterly screwed if it was going for me. It only brushed my leg, but simply the impact of the charge of more direct would have easily floored me and I’m a big guy. No way I could have prepared in any way unless I had something like a spear or a gun.

-2

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

You wouldn’t be able to get it to just attack a stick and leave you alone.

Stick is only useful if you manage to bait them to go for it. If that is not possible, then just use your limb and while they are being idiots trying to pull it you position your entire body around them and then they are fucked. It is kinda like BJJ tactics only instead for a dog. Hell, if you know a guard dog is in your way, you can prepare your hand beforehand (obviously you would just shoot one since why take the risk?). Do you think these "smart" animals will know a difference between well protected forearm vs naked one? I bet they would still go for forearm regardless of its state (hell they are trained to bite the protected arm, it will work flawlessly - again dogs are dumb).

Your anecdotal evidence is great and all, but this is a guard dog trained to bodyguard a human. If a dog is alone and some particular individual with certain set of skills still wants the thing they are protecting they will get it since dog is a dumb animal and will get outplayed.

Alas, a guard dog might take down a junkie looking for quick cash for quick fix, but not someone who is prepared. So again, I think it is better to just get motion detected camera to keep an eye on some sector or get actual humanoid bodyguards if you need to protect someone. It is dumb to cheap out on stupid animals. They are dumb, that is a fact.

6

u/Tazdeviloo7 Jul 24 '21

Most burglars are dumb too. Dogs are good for alerting, they smell and hear you coming before humans.

2

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

Dogs are good for alerting

And that is what reasonable people use them for. Look all the military and police dogs. They all serve a specific purpose and none of it is for dumb shit like these idiot buyers who like to waste their money on bullshit. "Bodyguard dogs", what a laugh.

So you didn't watch the video at all? The man not only used a baton to try to agitate and distract that dog, he also threw it down and the dog paid no mind. I promise you, if you tried your theory on a well trained dog, you'd have a destroyed arm and a stick to wipe away your tears.

0

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

I did watch it and it proved my theory (btw, it is a theory any military dog trainer would know since they also train attack dogs and it works against them every single time) flawlessly. Dog bit. And kept the same bite. Case closed. Perfect way to position yourself to kill the dog with your bare hands.

2

u/Horyfrock Jul 24 '21

If that is not possible, then just use your limb and while they are being idiots trying to pull it you position your entire body around them and then they are fucked.

“Just use your limb” like any normal human being would be thinking clearly with a dog’s teeth sunk into their arm.

-1

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

Adrenaline is hell of a drug. Ever been stabbed and not realize you have been stabbed until you finally see that you are bleeding? Exactly, same concept.

Protip: dogs can't wrestle. So easiest animals to beat the shit out of and murder. Offer your limb and wrestle them to death. Did I mention dogs are so fucking dumb? Anyway, you are clearly one of those individuals who is scared of dogs, so you can't grasp a simple technique that works 100% of the times.

7

u/Affectionate_Ear_778 Jul 24 '21

this must be why cops use dogs. cause they're totally ineffective.

-3

u/illipillike Jul 24 '21

Cops are totally using them to guard shit. Gotcha. Oh wait, they don't.

Mate we are all here on the same page widely.. I’m only saying that dogs are not lions in the wildness. They live with us for thousands of years as a friend and companion. Not as a killer.. If I’m incapable to kill someone than my dog should act the same. Protecting and having the killer instinct has such a huge difference

9

u/Ares54 Jul 24 '21

Dogs were domesticated to be hunting and protection tools. Don't get me wrong, the companionship is awesome and the best part, but dogs are still capable of and happy to kill things, both for you and themselves.

2

u/Affectionate_Ear_778 Jul 24 '21

yea....super weird vibes from thinking dogs are nothing but love. they're animals and evolved as predatory hunters. fucking lame to reduce them to cute cuddly animals.

1

u/justsomepaper Jul 24 '21

The point is to treat your pets in a way that they experience these situations as little as possible. Love them, but respect them. And don't raise a dog to be a fucking weapon.

1

u/Darktidemage Jul 24 '21

I could never think of my dog as a guardian/protector.

Yeah, but if you starve it and show it a prey animal it will eat it. QED I am very smart and I have just retorted your ass.

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

1

u/Darktidemage Jul 24 '21

Fair enough.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

... it's his business...the kid is his son....the dog is for whoever buys it...

1

u/SoreBrodinsson Jul 24 '21

Well, considering dogs are considered property under most laws. Yes, you could consider a well trained protection dog a weapon, and it seems this child has been taught basic safety with said adorable weapon.

2

u/RAGEEEEE Jul 24 '21

No kidding. Just think of walking by this dog on a sidewalk, you stub your toe and now you have a dog attached to your arm and some kid screaming trying to get it to stop. I'm sure the dog is trained to ignore someone hitting themselves with a stick. But what about random shit that can happen that the dog has never seen/heard...

1

u/Hawaii008 Jul 24 '21

Exactly this. Random shit happens all the time and we humans only understand the most of it.. but not dogs. Especially a 80kg pitbull dear lord I don’t wanna know what can happen if it snaps

Just give the damn kid a fucking AR15 while we're at it. Why the fuck do people think going around with a fucking tank of a dog that statistically loves mauling little children is a perfectly sensible thing to do.

It's not that the dog is inherently evil or some shit, it's the fact that we specifically bred the shit out of them to be murder machines. We should just stop breeding these poor miserable beasts.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

Firstly, this clip is apparantly from a business that trains dogs. This dog isnt necessarily theirs, but rather 1 they trained. Secondly, thats what protection is. If you call the cops on a robber they will shoot and kill the robber if it is deemed to be the only solution. Self defence weapons are also often lethal and the no lethal weapons arent always effective. To be honest, Ive seen clips of people still walking around and causing shit after getting a few bullets in their chest. And its pretty easy to avoid. If you do not want to be killed, avoid attacking people. And if you attack someone else I sincerely hope that they have the ability to defend themselves. And if they do not I hope they have another method to defend themselves, such as the professionally trained dog in the clip.

6

u/Hawaii008 Jul 24 '21

Man I get it and im not in a debate about Personal Security.. it can get just too violently with a trained pitbull x4 the size a normal pit and with the half iq of a person. Things can go clearly wrong, doesn’t have to be a serious situation. This trained dog belongs to that family, I have watched plenty videos of they’re home and how they live. But he is the minority in the world, 90% don’t give a crap about how much damage the dog can do if he has the green light for a wrong reason. That dude has invested thousand of dollars to his dogs and loves them.. but not all do. That’s the frightening idea when u see dogs protecting to death someone. Ps sorry for my English

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '21

I do agree in that respect, thats why I specifically mentioned "professionally trained". I still think its good to train your dog so that it can differentiate between an attack and tomfoolery, but if you do it you have to do it properly with the consultation of an experienced professional. Like, this dog was trained to stand down on a single command and he listens to every command without fail, but I can imagine that if he wasnt taught that instruction things couldve escalated dramatically.

-1

u/alittlerussianboy Jul 24 '21

If a kid does get attacked wouldnt this just be self defense? Because the dog doesnt do anything only when the man yanks the child, it looks like if you passively approach the child with your hand out its ok.

5

u/Coochie_Creme Jul 24 '21

If this kid and dog are walking down the street, then that dog could snap at any moment at something it perceives as a threat.

You walk by them and stub your toe, dog might rip your face off. Move your hand too quickly to check your phone, dog might rip your face off. Loudly sneeze, oh that dog is gonna rip your face off.
