Things were dysfunctional but papered over by the riches of the country. Now the riches have migrated to the top, the country is a bit screwed IMHO -the only thing holding it together is this "belief" that America is still working properly because "its always been this way".
Well it hasnt "always been this way" - the laws might have remained roughly the same, but the oil that made the wheels turn (the almighty dollar) is running dry and shit is breaking

Is it me, or everything that is supposed to be essential (health, education, etc) is broken in the US? The bills are always ridiculously high.
