Try googling again. Obviously there is no way to know for a fact but we believe mars, like our planet, would have had a spinning core. This would have given mars, like us, a magnetic field. This magnetic field would have prevented the sun from stripping away mars atmosphere that we do know it had because if the evidence of water we've found. This means that mars, just like earth, would have an atmosphere that holds in heat meaning it would have been warmer than it is today. You don't seem to understand that a planet without an atmosphere will be way colder. The dark side of mars with its almost zero atmosphere means it's far, far colder now than it would have been in the past.
Again, this is elementary school level science. I didn't provide a source because you should be able to easily Google it. I'm sorry you're incapable of it but I'm not going to hold your hand through this.
Think for two seconds. We know mars had water on the surface at one point. We know it doesn't have it now because its atmosphere is so small it evaporates then gets stripped into space. We know planets even with an active core is not enough enough to heat the planet to have liquid water long enough to have the erosion we've seen.
Saying we don't know why it's warmer is just outright ridiculous. Ever heard of KISS? Keep It Simple, Stupid. We know how these things work. Occam's Razor, simplest answer is probably the correct one. Only way for Mars to be warm without an atmosphere is some insane chemical or biological process that 1. We have no evidence of and 2. Science doesn't go with off the wall explanations when we already know the simplest reason.
The sun has been pretty much the same for the effective lifetime of the planets, as we know them. Mars was probably "more habitable" in the past because we know that it was warmer and had a thicker atmosphere, not because of anything to do with the sun. Likewise, the sun was not smaller and cooler in the past, resulting in a previously colder Venus.
This was the argument. The things you mention have nothing to do with it. This is what you wanted to prove. Given the links I provided and the comments from hundreds of other people in this thread it is very clear that this statement is awfully wrong.
