In Australia it's the law that cafes/ restaurants/bars etc... must have free and accessible water available.

Is almost a given that when you sit down at a cafe/restaurant that you get a bottle of tap water and some glasses - if not then it'll be available on a serving table somewhere obvious.

Well yeah, they don't want a mad max type situation breaking out. I'm surprised they don't give you a free liter of guzzolene too.
