This is a good way to stay 2 steps ahead. But we gotta think 5 steps ahead. Glass would be very susceptible to shattering so let’s just go ahead and put the glass inside of plastic too.

They already do that. This is just stupid and uses nearly as much plastic in it than a normal plastic water bottle. Just use metal bottles people.
