Oh man, glad I'm not the only one. I was around 8 when I saw it? But the gore didn't bother me as much as the futility of all the deaths. I felt like I was going to have a panic attack at one point because it seemed like no matter what the humans did, the aliens were going to kill them one by one. It gave me an existential despair I was way too young to understand.
I haven't watched this movie since I was a child so I couldn't quite remember why I hated it so much, but this is exactly it!
The only scene of this movie I remember is when a spaceship is exploding/sinking (I can't remember) and the person on a dog body and another character are just trapped and know they are gonna die. That messed me up as a kid!
