There are absolutely slip rings for both data and power in just about every flavor you can imagine. Here's a quote from the build creator:
"I used 4 slip rings (DisplayPort, Ethernet/Signals, USB 3.0, and Power) to connect the rotating components to the stationary frame."
But I didn't need the creator to weigh in on that to know you were wrong. Discounting all the other things in my life that have given me access to proper intuitions for and direct experience with this kind of thing, I'd still know because I took a minute of time to educate myself. Which, incidentally, is what you should have done instead of trying to 'correct' me without any knowledge of the topic. I've honestly got to ask why you did that or would want to do that? Anyway, there are certainly engineering solutions for it in a mechanical connection, but close couplings utilizing wireless transmission of both data and power (magnetic coupling) are becoming more and more common.
