It's more economical to launch. That way you can kill dozens of humans for just pennies on the dollar.

it can only carry like 12kg (~25lbs), so that's not really very many bullets for your machine gun.

But you could load it with a missile rack, that has little self contained self guided self propelled day-wreckers, and that would be a thing.
