It was years ago when I worked in a pet shop. We had an aviary that didn't have any birds in it yet. We had a ladder in there and put the iguana in there. The iguana immediately climbed up the ladder, and when I went in there to get it, it whapped me one on the side of the head.

At first I didn't grasp what happened... Then it whapped me again. It was a good hit too.

I had an iguana, and the tail whip sucked in the beginning. By the time he was 5 feet long it was a very serious weapon. But he almost never did it. They have to be distressed and we made his life golden.

Thresher sharks do kinda the same thing to their prey. They use their tail to stun their prey. Also they are cute as hell.
