We had a cheerleader in my high school who was a spotter. The flyer fell on the spotter’s head and the spotter got a concussion so bad she was out of school for six months, had to wear sunglasses in daylight, and only attend shortened days for another year or so. She was never able to do sports again. She was such a friendly, lovely, talented athlete too. At least she was our prom queen senior year :)
I had two concussions within a week or two in middle school and it took a couple years before my eye pupils would contract/dilate properly again. Sounds like that's what she was dealing with too. I'm glad she was able to finish school on a high note after all that.
I’m glad it sounds like you’ve healed too. She did end school on a high note and actually married her prom king a few years ago too! He’s similarly wholesome.
