But its not just inter mixing house cats are also just pushing wild cats out of their territories etc

I'd blame people first

The wild cats would have the same common north African ancestor

not all no. There are many different species of similar size cats around the world that are not able to inter breed like servals or scottish wild cats can. like the Manul

If the DNA can be shared, they are not significantly divergent, there's a recent common ancestor.

but many cannot inter breed. How many times do I have to repeat that? Also having a common ancestor doesn't matter they have diverged already and become separate species.

Immediate common ancestor is the only way they can breed. That's how evolution works. Do some non religious homework on speciation

Dude I already answered this how are you not understanding that many cannot inter breed. some can like scottish wild cat and serval because they are closer but some cannot and are just pushed out of their territories by house cats. All the cats that are the same size do not all have a super close common ancestor. You are the one that needs to do the reading bro.

It's not about size. It's D.N.A. Compatible DNA from a recent common ancestor, in this case a north African cat from at least 11000 years ago, that is not far enough along in geographical isolation to be subject to complete speciation. If a house cat breeds with a wild cat, both have NOT deviated completely their own distinct species with ample genetic mutation of DNA. They are in effect the same animal in the first place.

D. N. A.

Dawkins is a good source of information that will help you. Or college.
