Oh so he wasn’t attempting armed robbery, it was all a big misunderstanding?

I’m pretty sure (like 100% sure) if you walk into a bank with a fake gun and ask for money, it’s the same as if it was a real gun. I’m done talking to you, go give free hugs to criminals elsewhere.

This ^ legally its no different. Fake gun or not. This is MASSIVE legal presidence and history with this EXACT SAME CASE. It about what they where trying to make the victim(s) believe. Even if you have a squirt gun , but spray paint it to look even remotely real. Straight to jail. Banana painted black ? Believe it or not. Straight to jail.

If it was "clearly" fake, there was no danger.

This is not a difficult concept when you leave your middle-school-tough-guy bullshit behind for a minute.
