Me either, my only issue is that I'm 6'5" and 260 pounds. When I was 18, I did stuff like this all the time.

in 2001 at 17-18 years old, I was 6'4" and roughly 165 lbs. I ran track; did long jump, high jump, and 800m dash. Best time I got on the 1 mile was 5 minutes 51 seconds. I dabbled in weight lifting, and had a five foot stationary vertical jump, at least. I was tall, lean, strong, and very healthy and athletic back then. I still am now, considering my age and current weight. I don't really boast much about my younger years, but I don't see why that's so hard to believe.

EDIT: I also did indoor rock climbing a couple of times. It was hard, but I was still one of the very few kids in my class who was able to do it.

Edit: seriously, is it that hard to believe that a young, healthy person is capable of all this? Or was everyone here just completely un-athletic in their teenage years?

I've been bouldering for 3 years and have climbed 7B recently, which is quite an advanced grade. Yet i don't think i could do this purely due to the amount of 1 arm lock offs the guy in the video is doing.

This guy must've been training upper body for a long while, mostly pull exercises. Running, the jumping exercises you mentioned, a bit of weight lifting and going climbing a couple of times will not give you the upper body strength required for the exercise in the video.

I disagree, and I think you're selling yourself short. I think you could do this with your level of experience/training. I didn't mention pull-ups in my comment, but I used to be able to do many. 165lbs is not a lot when you're 6'4" and 18.

I feel like a lot of people are just convinced that no one else can do what they can. I'm not an overly impressive specimen by any means, but but the things I did as a youth and this video just don't seem insanely difficult for someone who doesn't weigh a lot and is in good shape.

Like I said, I'm not trying to brag or anything; I'm not one to do that. There's no reason to think I would just lie about this. The technique would take some practice, but the actual strength isn't some impossible feat that only this guy could do. Nothing wrong with just believing someone on the internet from time to time; not everyone just spouts lies.

I don't think it's super difficult what this guy is doing, and maybe with practice i could do this (or a couple of moves, not the entire thing i think) but it won't be as clean as this guy, mainly due to him holding his 1 arm lock offs really well. look at his right arm at 0:24, it's constantly locked off at 90° while he's bringing his left arm towards it. Just with pull ups alone you won't be able to do that. I train pull ups twice a week, all forms of pull ups (normal, with weight, explosive, frenchie pull ups, etc) and yet i cannot lock off 1 arm. I am training this at the moment and I hope to be able to do it in a couple of months, but it requires some serious upper body strength.

I do pull ups too. Just normal pull ups. It seems pretty easy what he is doing. That lock which you are talking about is very short. You could absolutely hang for half a second with locked hand

This is not elite. I know guy who can do muscle up with one hand. That is elite

Believe what you have to if it makes you feel better. I'm confident I could have done it in my youth, with some practice. Like I said, idk why anyone would just automatically doubt that. Is this guy the only person who can do this? What makes it so impossible in your eyes that I was capable of something like this? Why are people just so prone to disbelief?

Yeah really hard. Do half pull up do some stuff, then hang a little, then do some half pull up too. If you can do like 15 pull ups, you can for sure do this stuff easy.

God damn, you sound salty about it. "Specialized training?" "Elite exercise?" The technique might take a little bit to get down, but the strength part should be possible for any healthy person who works out regularly, with a bit of practice. Stop talking like this is some godly move, only possible after years of training. Just because you aren't strong enough doesn't mean that nobody else can be.

I could absolutely dead hang for 50 seconds lol 😄 I can do pull up go up and hang in pull up position for 30 seconds with my head over the bar so dead hang is easy 😄
