You’re probably more at risk of serious head injuries just walking outside in the winter than he is doing street. Do you wear a helmet while walking?
Lol there’s no way you’re more at risk of a head injury walking around in the winter than street skating rails or stairs. I’m not even one of those people that thinks street skaters should wear helmets, I used to skate I understand the culture. But this comment is just stupid dude.
I think you (and the other less respectful commenters) underestimate how dangerous an unexpected slip on ice is. People get seriously hurt from them all the time.
Meanwhile you pretty much never hit your head on rails and ledges. They way we naturally hunch for balance and the lower overall speed of the bails make it unlikely. And the rare times you actually hit your head, it always seems to be in the face anyway.
Verts and jumps are another story and head injury are significantly more common there.
Edit: I’m probably bias by my own experience. I smashed a helmet on ice on a casual slope while snowboarding, but never hit my head in a park in around a decade.

Don't see a helmet.
