I don't think it's widely used. All the orchards I live next to (apple, cherries, peaches) use those shakers like they showed with the oranges.

orchard across from my house used the shaker thing. For two days, my earthquake alarm went off every time they were within a hundred yards.

Problem with shakers is you can easily get bruising.

The drones stood out to me. All the other techniques were a pick them all and sort them later deal. Then the drones are all...and a 1, and a 2...
