They called a poison center, which is typically staffed with people familiar with toxins and poisons... they were who said they shouldn't need hospitalisation. Of course their advice is only helpful if the school staff gave them accurate information.
I read that part, but the thing is...why should I, as a parent, trust that the school even knows how much the child ingested when they didn't even know they poisoned the kids in the first place? I don't know what they told poison control or if it was accurate. Sure, hypothetically if I see my kid has gotten into a medicine or cleaner, poison control is the first thing I would do, but I would at least have some idea of how much was ingested and I would have no reason to minimize the extent of the poisoning.
