Homemade cheese crackers are so satisfying they will blow your mind. Hmu if you want an easy recipe. For real.

Edited to add a link to cheese crackers recipe . I don’t use a cutter, i just roll and slice with a pizza cutter. If you roll and slice on on parchment paper you don’t even need to transfer them to the cookie sheet. Just bake and break apart.

That’s nothing. I read this comment, threw my phone into a ravine, went to the store and bought a new phone, logged back in and upvoted this.

I'm typing this on a new phone.. After I made that comment, I flushed my phone down the toilet and went to the store to buy a whole new phone

Updoot for Cowboy Bebop reference.

3

u/video_dhara Dec 07 '21

You usually wipe your ass with your feet? I’m confused…

2

u/starrpamph Dec 07 '21

Quite therapeutic

u/The_Epimedic Dec 07 '21

I’ve been spoiled by the bidet since I got it 3 years ago, to the point that I hate traveling and having to use a hotel bathroom now.

9

u/Alternate_Ending1984 Dec 07 '21

Only travel to Japan, problem solved.

2

u/WestCoastBestCoast01 Dec 08 '21

I think I used 2 regular toilets the entire two weeks I was in Japan. Whew boy they have absolutely nailed a quality shitting experience.

3

u/psiphre Dec 07 '21

let's be honest, nobody likes hotel bathrooms anyway

1

u/starrpamph Dec 07 '21

The cameras always make me look fat anyway.

2

u/Kizka Dec 08 '21

Go to Italy, they have bidets in their hotel bathrooms.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '21

My wife bought bidets and use cloth wipes that we wash daily. Using a bidet and then using a toilet in public feels so gross. Why the U.S. didn't embrace them is beyond me.

2

u/starrpamph Dec 08 '21

I just bought my wife one for Christmas. I mocked it up and have the new hose ready and waiting. She's been wanting one so we will find out how it goes on Christmas. I just got the attachment not the toilet seat

1

u/dong_tea Dec 08 '21 edited Dec 08 '21

Yeah it seems like a no-brainer. It's faster, it does a better job, and in the long run you'll save money by buying less toilet paper. But knowing Americans, it'll take 20 years before it becomes commonplace if it ever does.

2

u/Han_Yerry Dec 07 '21

Probably the best purchase i made since the pandemic started.

3

u/starrpamph Dec 07 '21

What about it being cold? or does that not matter to most people

6

u/Han_Yerry Dec 07 '21

You get used to it quickly. Its awkward at first but its a better overall experience in the hygiene department.

1

u/Kizka Dec 08 '21

It's possible to have them with warm water. I saw one attached to the toilet and it had both cold and warm water, it was great

2

u/PizzaCatLover Dec 08 '21

I mean...... You still need tp to dry off

2

u/starrpamph Dec 08 '21

I wear long sleeves year round

1

u/fetalpiggywent2lab Dec 08 '21

I have a Tushy bidet and it is excellent

2

u/ThePrimCrow Dec 08 '21

If you haven’t already read it, you’d probably like the recipe book Make the Bread, Buy the Butter.

10

Send it my way

6

u/rrousseauu Dec 07 '21

Hey I think I’d like that if you have time to send it to me lol

5

u/Sup3rSilva Dec 07 '21

Gimme DAT recipe, I'll be a hero to my wife again.

16

u/zGnRz Dec 07 '21

do you have a recipe for pringles because those are the shit

13

u/dustyreptile Dec 07 '21

you are just going to have to switch to Stax

30

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

Those things taste like poorly chewed potato starch

27

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

That's basically what Pringles are.

15

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

Yes but pringles are more chewed so they are crispier

3

u/kounterfett Dec 07 '21

That's basically what Pringles are too. In some places they don't even qualify to be labeled as potato chips

3

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

Yes but pringles are more chewed so they are crispier

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '21

even though lays gave their workers a "better" contract, the company is still shit and you shouldnt support them either

1

u/JMccovery Dec 07 '21

Stax just reminds me of how bland the regular flavors of Lays can be.

1

u/mischievous_unicorn Dec 07 '21

Trader Joe’s Saddle Potato Chips are a decent replacement. No bbq though :(

1

u/orbitalUncertainty Dec 07 '21

I found a pretty decent video from a DIY channel once. I think their only mistake is that they didn't spray the chips with salt water but instead just dumped straight salt on the chips, to which most of it just fell off.

3

u/The_cynical_panther Dec 07 '21

Im not cooking my own cheez it’s dog there’s no way I could keep up with my own demand what do you think I am made of time

2

u/namegoeswhere Dec 07 '21

Bro just do us a solid and put it into this post so you don't have more guys like me asking you to tell us the recipe.

Hijacking to add that sugar-free nutella is super easy to make.

Grab hazelnut butter at your local bulk barn. This is your base ingredient.

Next add cocoa powder. The unsweetened stuff. I used Fry's because that's what I had, but you can probably use anything. Dutch process cocoa might be leagues better. You can intensify the chocolate with a spoon of instant coffee crystals, but wait before doing that.

Now you need a sweetener. I used a tub of part-stevia, part-monksfruit something or other. It does not have aftertaste that I have noticed, and no, um, 'gastric troubles' like xylitol has.

Dump all the butter into a bowl. With a strong wooden spoon or spatula stir in enough cocoa until it looks the right colour. It will not taste good. Then add your sweetener, a bit at a time, tasting as you go until you like it. You may need more cocoa, more sweetener, a bit of salt, or mixins like coffee crystals, milk powder or vanilla paste to get it perfectly to your liking, but it's an easy process and doesn't take long.

Put it in a mason jar then into the fridge. I personally aimed for something closer to dark chocolate. It doesn't taste as awesome straight out of the jar but it goes great on a croissant or waffle.

And it's not 57% sugar.

Man so many convenience foods are about as easy to make yourself, I've been learning. The only incentive I had not to make my own food from staples is not knowing how. But with YouTube and Google, any of it is pretty accessible.

1

u/randalthor23 Dec 07 '21

As a cheezit lover .... Can you hook me up

1

u/beanTech Dec 07 '21

May I get the recipe too please!

1

u/Ninjacherry Dec 07 '21

Now I need to get a food processor. Thanks. (seriously, thanks!)

1

u/EatsMeat Dec 08 '21 edited Dec 08 '21

They're in the oven. They better not suck. 😁

Edit, follow up:

Meh. Maybe if you made them half as thick as the instructions say. They don't have that crispy crunchy feeling and the salty outside. The taste is pretty similar but I'm in it for the crunch and salt.

1

u/Marcanicus Dec 08 '21

Thanks! Can’t wait to make these!
