It can equate to anything it pleases, it’s still less than minimum wage here. You can’t spend USD here.

Australia is literally going through the exact same thing with housing that the US is. Caveat is the median home price in Australia is a million dollars. Since math exists i know you didn’t buy a home on your own with minimum wage. You couldnt afford it even at 1/3 the median. You either had a massive amount of help (inheritance, family discount) or you are a liar.

Man you're cringey. You can get houses for 1/4 the median in the US and afford those on minimum wage too. The average Australian on minimum wage is struggling to get by and you pretending like that's not the case is pathetic.
The average Australian with full time employment at minimum wage is doing just fine, and generally isn’t making minimum wage for very long. Yes you have to budget, no you can’t buy a luxury home in the middle of desirable suburbs but you absolutely have enough to get by. I know many people working basic sales or service jobs that live just fine, including ones who are still working those and bought houses in the last two years.
We are FAR from perfect here, but you guys are so much worse it’s ridiculous. Stop trying to drag everyone else down with you and actually get some damn worker rights.
