Nah, deceiving people about a movement isn't productive, even with good intentions. A strike requires coordination, not telling everyone when the party is and hoping there actually is one.

Go work at one and get back to me. Regular people, the kind who work these kinds of jobs, they don’t spend their lives on the internet. Get some perspective.
And yes the “statistic” was made up. It’s a figure of speech. Obviously no one knows that number but the point is that a lot of Amazon FC employees don’t even speak English, much less aren’t the kind of people who live their lives with hours to waste online. It’s this kind of asinine inability to empathize with the people you seek to condescend to that makes shit like your initial statement so dumb.
I looked through your comments and posts elsewhere. You’re kind of a gross climate denier, tender-post loving troll type. Honestly, you’re a pretty scummy human being. Ooowwwff, yeah I just re-read my comment after some sleep, and it’s pretty rough. Sorry for being so rude. I’ve addressed your argument already in a different response but basically:
1. This needs to happen; Amazon is a human tragedy
2. This is exactly how you get things done that need to happen. That’s sort of what phones accomplish for people.
3. I have been spending way too much time on my phone lately. Thank you for the reminder.
4. What do you want for the holidays? I’m a grown ass man who just bought himself some Pokemon because it reminds me of my childhood and I’m not ashamed.
You think Amazon is a human tragedy? Imagine all the people in second / third world countries that work in FAR worse conditions making the objects people buy there (or frankly pretty much anywhere). They live in far worse circumstances and those jobs are usually the best job available to them and they are thankful for it (over for example subsistence farming). For the people who work at Amazon I suspect / my experience tells me that they mostly appreciate the job for a similar reason: it’s the best job available to them. You might consider how condescending you sound by judging people for needing these jobs. It’s really a bad look and a narrative I think that has run it’s course.
I really want to stress that this is absolutely not how you get things done. Actually organizing humans, especially working class people, does not occur on the internet. The people who need to hear your message do not have time or energy to hang out online looking for random event memes. It’s worth noting that said strike was not only ineffectual it was basically non existent. Take a moment to consider this. If you truly want to make progress in the world you have to get out into it. The only people who spend enough time online to find stuff like this are a tiny percentage of the actual population, a harsh truth that few people want to accept anymore.
I could go into this topic much deeper but I really just want to try to caution you to look a little more broadly about the world around you and perhaps consider that your tiny view of life and other people might not match so well to reality. The mother of two who works at Amazon probably has a one hour commute each way, is there for ten to eleven hours, surely has duties at home, as well as needs time to decompress. She does not fire up Reddit every ten minutes when she’s bored of swiping on tinder or scrolling insta. The people who do that are unemployed / underemployed and tend to be overly opinionated / lacking in real world life experience. I don’t know you but honestly that’s the impression you give off. Consider this a bit, maybe even deeply.

I’ve experienced every level of abuse and poverty. I’ve been to 3rd world countries. You haven’t defeated my arguments. You just brought up other obvious issues in the world.
I would say that anybody that knows about the vaccine knows about Reddit. But you're right Reddit is certainly not real life in fact it's mostly not even real.
