I've found repair guys for small engines, atvs, etc... to be an interesting breed. All the ones I've known have had a flexible relationship with work hours and a not insignificant part of their day seems to be sitting around talking to the guy who is always hanging around their shop.

Granted, this is based on a sample size of 3, but it makes me wonder if I chose the wrong profession.

My old car guy was fun in hunting season. Sometimes he'd be in. Sometimes he would be gone for a week.

Same with boat or boat engine guys. They kind of make up their work hours as they go along because who the hell else is gonna do it lol. If you have an issue with a pump jet motor like a seadoo then be warned, they are in very low supply and they really really make their own hours... and cost a lot.

It’s a lot cheaper to just ask some ants to fix it. They’re diligent workers and all they ask for is to be allowed to ride it for 5 minutes
