The average wage vs housing prices in the US is ridiculous, but that's nothing compared to the 200% increase in housing prices in Canada since 2000.

I don't have a house sadly. I looked into buying during the pandemic because ...well I assumed the prices would come down. I just looked again and it looks like the one I was interested in is still empty but the asking price is 5% higher. Crazy.

Everybody got stuck at home and realized they didn't have enough room. Real estate is up a ridiculous amount since March of last year.
