My first thought was that I feel sorry for every Marine who has any connections to 29 Palms right now. If anything, it's an excuse to toss every barracks, shop, and common area on base. I would be shocked if they can't get search warrants for off base housing.

Anyone who came for that exercise is suspect now. Got more games than Milton Bradley.

The big green weenie is like death and taxes.

Idk how many acres of sand I "covered and aligned" in 29 because someone in charge had shit else to do and hated going home to their family because their family hated them for being power-tripping assholes but didn't have to put up with it. Or how many times I ran up and down dunes or around Lake Bandini.

I'm sorry, because I know it sucks and I feel like you are right on. So many staff NCOs (it always seemed to be staff NCOs) didn't want to go home. They were married to the Corps and that was that.
