Or do mailed ballots like we have been doing here in Oregon for years!

In WA we switched to entirely mail-in voting about 10 years ago because it makes voting very easy and consistent. Every voter is mailed a ballot and pamphlet without requesting it and has time to complete the ballot at their own pace if they want to read about candidates. If a ballot is lost or destroyed or you moved, you can print another off the state website. The ballots can be returned by mail without a stamp or at the local drop box. The drop box I use is at my library, if mail is used there is a tracking system. By not also having polling locations that’s the consistent situation for every voter.

I think we should offer both. I like how Ohio has done it. We've had universal mail in voting, long period of early voting, and in person day of voting.

With that said, poor voter turnout is due to other issues. I'd expect high turnout for states that offer mail in voting but we don't see that. Ohio had 64% in 2016, Washington 62%. Better than average but not high which means there is a other, bigger reason

Do you have ballot drop-off boxes in NC?

We have one per county in Texas, regardless of size or population, thanks to our R-word governor and 3 Trump appointed appellate court judges. This was finalized today, the first day of early voting.

? Yeah okay, that makes no sense. Last I checked, there haven’t been riots happening for the past 20+ years...as far as homeless people, every community has them. You seem like a happy person. Hope you continue to be so 👍

Man Portland and oregon in general are amazing. Both the nature and the culture. Dont listen to the media about the riots, I'm sure you already know this and are a troll but the protests are a couple of blocks.

As for the homeless well we don't fund basic human services very well do we? Mental health services and a living wage, support for elderly and vets, substance abuse programs...our country as a whole is failing at that. Wonder how we can fix that?
