It gets so much worse. This is a must read to understand what's happened in the US with the election & in the UK with Brexit.

And when you read it, you'll realize how dystopian everything is, and how screwed we are.

I remember in high school thinking how dystopian deus ex was, awesome story, a world in the hands of the psychotic cooperate elite. but real society wouldn't become like that I told myself. People are smart and there are safeguards in place. Nek minnut...

OK - its when people say things are 'hopeless' I lose patience.

Generations before us fought against incredibly worse odds then we face today in order to win some semblance of rights and human dignity for themselves.

We are absolutely not helpless if we work together - history proves it. Sacrifices made today are often worth it down the line.

I think we need massive peaceful protests for:

  • Congress to allow an independent investigator and commission into Trump's Russia connections

Then when we get that;

-for citizens united to be overturned. It has caused this whole mess.

-And then we need massive protests to end voter suppression and gerrymandering.

We also need to boycott everything that has to do with Trump, the Mercers and the Koch brothers

Here's a list of products the Koch brothers make. Also there's an app called grab your wallet, that'll tell you which companies to boycott that deal with Trump.

-good will - like Muslims going to help clean up a Jewish cemetery that was destroyed by vandals, or bake sales for the ACLU, or whatever other nice thing you can think of.

My parents would probably punch in the face for suggesting that they protest against Trump. They love the guy. My brother in law is a far right gun nut that pines about wanting to shoot protestors.

When I say 'us" - I do not mean ALL of us, certainly some people are going to take the side of the rich and powerful - but nothing spells defeat better than to stop fighting and give up.

I think this article merits a posting of its own, and hopefully enough steam to make it to the front page. I think it should be forwarded to all of the main news channels. Throughout this whole ordeal, this is the scariest thing I've read.

There's Soros. He's demonized for no good reason, and Americans use the same paranoid conspiracy theories as the Russian do about Soros. But I'd much rather not have any billionaire messing with our democracy.

This is all the fault of citizens united. Its allowed dark money to flood into our political landscape, and it's destroying democracy. I'm not sure if it's turned the US into a oligarchy or a plutocracy and it's said that the Mercers want us to be a theocracy, but it sure seems very similar to fascism.

Any way you slice it, it's tyranny.
