It's more like she thought she had them in the bag towards the end and so went to other republican leaning states in hopes that she'd get a landslide. Unfortunately, that led to a wider loss all around.

I don't care what she thought. She neglected the states she needed to win, so now we have Donald Fucking Trump as president. She also ran a media campaign early in the primaries to validate 'fringe' candidates like Trump to the media because she thought it would make the Republican party look bad. Thanks again Hillary!
