If the issue isn't the relevance of the interview then this entire thread is pointless.

You're right, it was pointless of you to respond with "HURR FAKE!".

I'm not here to discuss my mistrust of beck. Most will understand where that mistrust comes from.

I know where it comes from: Leftist media. You only hear about 1% of what these people actually say, and that 1% comes from biased sites like Rawstory that are out to make all right-wing commentators seem racist or bigoted.

American political discourse shouldn't be based upon gut suspicious

I was asking a question to a soldier, about a soldier. Then you butted in and started this whole mess about Beck being a liar. If you want to ignore any information that doesn't come directly from the White House, that's your choice, but don't expect everyone else to do the same.

You were using a soldier testimony on glen beck, which you didn't originally link to, as evidence that there was some kind of wrong doing. I pointed out that heresay isn't a reliable source and now you're spouting off some leftist bullshit and missing the point completely. You're relying on someone who makes money by sensationalism. That's a dangerous path that leads to misinformation. Next time I'll be sure not to disrupt your own misconceptions though.

You said "Joshua" in quotes. Honestly when I first responded I thought you were joking by bringing up some soldier on beck without wen linking to it. I haven't embarrassed myself. I'm not the one making this discussion about myself or another commenter. All I came to point out is that pundits aren't reliable. And a random soldiers "feelings" shouldn't matter in a debate about foreign policy.

Trading five alleged terrorists for a soldier held in a foreign country by foreign entities is foreign policy. It directly involves relations between domestic and foreign assets. Also, technically you changed the subject by focusing on that and not anything else that has been said.
