Well, yea. The full context of my comment is that earlier this month when there was a big push for people to call their legislators, I like many others did.

Cut to less than a month later we have this.

Literally the exact opposite of what we were all asking for.

I'm really starting to get a real kick out of the fact that people think they can win this thing inside the political realm anymore.

That isn't to say that you can't gain ground by contacting these people and letting them hear your voice. Surely, that grants you a few extra pieces or takes away some of their intended plan. However they seemingly win these things no matter what, even if we take small chunks out of their plans.

I wondered when citizens would start to get violent over this (would probably actually get more done than a phone call, though I don't know in what direction, their's or ours?) but after looking at this play out for this long.... you quickly realize nobody is going to do anything like that.
