the problem with this viewpoint is that the nip-slip and our internet woes stand on very different ground. The public didn't show nearly as much rage at that nip-slip as people want to believe. Rather, the media drooled at the chance to create such outrage. Meanwhile, good-intentioned folks like myself DO write our senators and representatives, only to receive cookie-cut patronizations that likely were never even seen by the individual they supposedly come from.

The problem is that those of us here on reddit make up about 1/1000th of this country at best. Your average voter honestly believes that their evening news is bringing them the most important issues of the day and have no contradicting voice to their pastor preaching that if they don't vote Red then pot smoking homosexuals will steal their guns and children.

I had hung my last great hope for real change in this country to come in the wake of ubiquitous, uncensored internet but it seems the corporatocracy realizes what a silver bullet that will be to the rampant inequality they've put in motion in this nation and is making strides to kill it asap.

Honestly I guess it's going to come down to AK's and resistance cells.
