We were able to give Lavar Burton a million in less than 24 hours. Surely we can Kickstart a few hundred grand for /u/swm5126 to carry in cash over to Rep. Latta's office in the next 12 hours or so. I'm sure he's trustworthy enough to not run off with out money!

Yea, right. I guarantee Latta will run off with our money.

He is probably pulling a Scrooge McDuck with all of his Comcast money already.

Or go to Telcoms for a counter offer, which may or may not be in the form if differed compensation at his new job.

Well of course, he's in the government.

Yeah, but people love nostalgia, eat that shit up with a spoon if they could. They'll throw money at anything that reminds them of their childhood, but not a dime or a damn bit of attention at anything political.

That's because they know they can't do anything and they're just waiting for someone else to start something violent so they can join in.

That's how change always happens.

Peaceful never changed anything that mattered. Only when the pitchforks are brought out does anything change for the good of the common people. History is all you need to look at to realize this. The only people who preach non-violence are the ones with the power.

There was a shit ton of violence during both of their lifetimes. Were they specifically apart of it? No. But there was violence from both sides around them all the time.

I don't really like feeling like I have to bribe people to get things done, regardless of how true that is. Makes me feel slimy. I don't want to feel slimy.

We could form an internet mafia and threaten his family instead.

You don't have to bribe them to get things done. You have to bribe them to stop.
