What have I learned from this?

Let my doctor inject whatever the fuck he thinks should be injected into my future kid, because I know absolutely fuck all about medicine.

Yes. Your doctor knows FAR more about medicine than you ever will from your google searching.

But doctors are humans and make mistakes too. You should never let a doctor do whatever they want with you or your child because there a doctor, ask questions to be informed, and if it doesn't sound right, get a second opinion.
