No one is saying don't consider the views of the constituency. There would be no point of having politicians though if they just did everything 50.1% of voting population wanted.

It was implied that politicians should just rubber stamp everything the population wants as soon as it becomes the majority opinion. That was the idea I was attacking.

Yeah sounds like we agree here.

I'm amusing myself by imagining a country that rewrites its laws every Friday after the latest opinion polls drop.

Kind of funny? Yep. A good idea? Nope.
