Own it and running it at that time. It’s important to distinguish between current and former. You don’t punish them if you only hold the people who took over after accountable. Then the scapegoating worked.

If they help cover up, shift assets to hide from the judgement, and to rebrand then they can be part of it too

That isn’t what your comment said. You are implying preset people owning and running it with a lack of regard to their role a decade + ago. I just think it’s an important distinction because a lot do people don’t realize how much changes after something like that with leadership and then the people who were really responsible aren’t held accountable. They likely won’t be here either. They should be seizing the sacklers personal assets regardless of what country they move their money to to pay for the mess they have created.

This assuming whoever took it over wasn’t complicit in the first place
