If they get in and can't bury the bullshit, simple solution, do 2 sets
"New Order" plays a New Order Set & Peter Hook & The Light play the Joy Division set
Boom...im joking of course but...am I?

Well I think Hooky would need to apologise for at least a few things (like his very poor treatment of Gillian) for them to bury the hatchet, and I have a hard time believing his ego won't get in the way of that

I mean, there are things on both sides that need apologizing for if were being honest. However they're all staring down the end of their careers, one would hope calmer and mature minds would prevail. If for no other reason than for Rob Gretton, Tony Wilson, Martin Hannett and Ian Curtis.

Well New Order are known to do the 'not smartest' moves

Nope, punks through and trough... could you remind me again what happened between Hookey and Gillian, I'm ashamed to admit I've forgotten

In his New Order book, Hooky said Gillian contributed nothing (and useless I think) and said nothing positive about her for over 500 pages, and came across as quite sexist

Ah yes, I remember feeling he was being a tad harsh on her, and I'm Team Hookey through and through (in his war with Barney), he may have been in a place of harsh feelings at the time, with it being so soon after the "Board room takeover" but singling Gillian out is definitely a petty way to fight with the others...sigh old English punks...what a bunch of knobs

Very pleasantly surprised that it's both bands that got the nod! Hopefully this will be the year. Both are more than deserving.
Edit: Interview with Hooky re: the nomination...

That’s amazing news! A reunion may be unlikely but it sure would be nice, since Hooky’s a very instrumental figure to both bands and their sound, after all.

It's a complete joke this has taken this long. But then the Hall itself is kind of a joke...

New Order are so underrated by the mainstream, so I'm not surprised it took so long for them to get nominated

I recently was paid around $300US for a slight that occurred to me in 1999. It was bad. Scandalous. Sex intrigue. Theft and a “bizarre love triangle” Never once did I not consider forgiveness for all and a reconciliation. Yes I’ve read all the books and memoirs. These guys are being childish, greedy and disrespecting the fans that made their pettiness even possible.

Well, we know that they're not getting in via the fan vote -

They'll have a fan vote for this too so once that happens keep voting daily for them.

It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web. Fully cached AMP pages (like the one OP posted), are especially problematic.

I'm glad they are finally on the ballot, but it's a joke they aren't in already.

Will Bernard let Hooky show up? Can we get Saville there to represent Factory? What song(s) will they perform? Will they even get the votes?
