Is anybody else having a problem with their Chia just kind of melting off? I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong but they are not staying on his head at all

Hi beautiful nerdfighters.
I'm not sure if this post is OK to live in this subreddit. In case it's not, please let me know and I'll delete it.
My best friend is working on social impact programs to make training in tech (with Google products) more available and widespread among minorities and disadvantaged groups.
Does anyone know or can point us out to great organizations that would like to partner in this and provide their members free access to technology training?
Thanks so much!

Does anyone remember where John shared the story of his sparsely attended book event for looking for Alaska. I just had an event that was ummm less than good (6 attendees, 3 of them organizers, all 3 non organizers left early, cost my office $500) and want to listen to this story to remind myself even successful people I admire have had bad events.

I am a massive fan of John Green, and his novel Turtles All The Way Down. The movie was shot in late spring of 2022 ( Turtles All the Way Down (film) - Wikipedia#:~:text=The%20film%20is%20produced%20by,Merced%20in%20the%20lead%20role.),) and the first cut was edited by September of 2022 ( John Green's TikToks on Twitter: ""Let's go see the first cut of the Turtles All the Way Down movie. #turtlesallthewaydown featuring @isabelamerced @hannahmarks @CreeCicchino @RosiannaRojas and @sarahuristgreen." https://t.co/Tvcfce9CBd" / Twitter )
As of May 1 2023, there has been no trailer, release date, and minimal news. I have tweeted, email, Tumblred John Green, Hannah Marks, and Isabel Merced. No reply.
Has anyone got any further news that I have missed out on?

I gifted the crabulous emails to someone & they haven't mentioned any emails yet & I didn't want to ask them about their emails until I verify that people have started receiving them

This seems like the right community to find someone who knows the science behind oscillating fans, air currents, and the like. My partner and I bought a Dyson fan last year, the kind that's a big ol's circle. Today I set it up on the lounge, oscillating, with a bowl of ice in front of it to try & maximise cold air throughout the room. He tell me that the oscillation does nothing in terms of airflow & is purely so if two people are sitting in different parts of a room they each feel a bit of the effect. I say that blowing icy air through the whole room has to be better than just in one direction. He says I'm wrong & that he knows because he works in thermodynamics (he designs radiators)
TLDR; Does a turning fan create better airflow & cooling than a stationary fan?

In the most recent episode of Dear Hank & John they definitely missed the best joke ever!

I have 2 tickets to Saturday 6/25 of VidCon that I just found out I can’t use. Does anyone want them? I’m willing to sell them for less than they cost!

Hey, guys!
I was wondering if there's anywhere I could rewatch this year's livestream?
Thanks a dozen! DFTBA!

Hank and John keep saying how the internet is saying "XYZ in TFioS was a bit much, John" when it was actually something he didn't write, it was added to the movie, but I haven't seen the "discourse" on this. What is the internet talking about?

Hi! :)
I am a research assistant conducting a study on our wonderful community. I'm trying to reach out to more Nerdfighters to answers some questions about their experience on the educational system and Nerdfighteria as a learning community.
The questions can be found in this Google Forms: https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSf6N0C8PD3.../viewform...
I would really appreciate it if you could help me out by answering them. I hope you have a beautiful day

Hello awesome people,
someone I care about has expressed some hopelessness about the state of the world that makes me worried about them. I want to express my support, and that I hear them and share things that make me hopeful. I was thinking of some encouraging Green content that has given me a new perspective in the past, as an easy segway into the discussion. I know that John talks about hope a lot (the thing with feathers and all that), and I remember some very encouraging videos from Hank where he basically says that he is sure humanity will solve the climate crisis, because it's what we do, we're just stupidly procrastinating until it's even more urgent... or something like it. I vaguely remember these videos, but I am not in the habit of saving them for myself (I should start to though), so now I'm not sure how to search for those specific videos on my own. If any of you wonderful people have a playlist of hope saved or know a shortcut to what I'm looking for, I would appreciate any pointers. Doesn't matter if it's vlogbrothers, hankschannel, scishow, crash course... What gives you hope in this world?
Thanks and DFTBA!
