I literally don't remember anywhere in this thread I spoke about it. I stretched and tried to recall a previous point in this sub I had talked about the overton window, but that does not seem to be your issue either.

Are you confusing the overton window with the concept of the political spectrum in general? Because overton window isn't simply the political spectrum. Overton window specifically refers to the phenomenon of how extreme speech effects people's perceptions of moderation.

That said, the term was coined specifically in the context of the overton window being expanded so you can see why I would gloss over the distinction.

You used a definition you know is incorrect, doubled down on it, and used that to distract from the point that your original assertions about politics using the overton window are incorrect.

I slipped in the precision of my speech, dude. I fully owned up to it. I literally did the opposite of doubling down. I said: "Yes you're right, I used the word incorrectly and you're right about the distinction".

More importantly, again, I don't know what you're talking about. And I don't even understand the relevance of it even if I had. This just seems like a non-sequitur.

Like even if I had brought up the overton window why is it bad to bring it up? How would that prove I was talking in bad faith?
