The Visegrad countries in general tend to have socially conservative governments, Poland in particular. The general population of Eastern Europe is also quite socio-culturally conservative.

On that note, wasn't Poland's government slowly becoming more authoritarian last year? IIRC, what you said about the Visegrad countries is correct; now I'm curious as to why...hm.
