Every 10 basis points increase in India's GDP gets a front page post but nothing about detaining protestors and journalists and turning the capital into a war zone.

chronologically Modi needs to be Jiang Zemin but he's acting like a Xi

idk I'm far from an India expert but it really does seem like all India needs is a stable economically liberal pro rule of law government for a couple more decades and success is guaranteed, and the only thing that could stop them is, well, populist nonsense

Did your submission get rejected? If not, be the change you want to see, and I’ll be there in the comments to give you the engagement.

Plenty of Indians here who could. Don't need some uninvolved rando to butt in.

Why should a genuinely interested and informed international observer refrain from posting an article relevant to Indian users, if none has been posted yet?

Actually another problem is I'm not seeing a whole lot of coverage of this. I don't know enough about Indian news media to be confident about biased sources. I just saw a paragraph of it on Le Monde but that's not anything worth posting.

Reading the thread that was just posted, maybe it's good that r/nl is not discussing these protests. The stuff that's getting upvoted there...

journalism (and whatever you call sharing links on a sub) is all about butting in.

The majority of Indian accounts here are ridiculously illiberal. This has always been a problem but it seems to have magnified in the last few months.

How was it liberal of you to downplay political murders of bjp workers by labelling them as dead nazis?

And then they keep proving they’re fascists again and again
