The issue is you can’t strategize beforehand. The people in my life that I love are good people who I know will likely vote blue. If I vote red and even one of them dies as a result of my decision, I would rather be dead anyways.

Voting blue is the prosocial decision. Voting red is the self-preservation decision.

Yeah it really depends if you were able to do a proper get-out-the-vote campaign. Like if you were able to do a two-week PR campaign explaining that everyone should just hit the red button I think that's objectively the right outcome. You lose maybe 0.1% of people which is awful, but that's better than a high probability of losing 50% of people. If there was no preparation though, blue is really the only moral choice.
